Other crimes that are considered felonies range from the most severe like Gross Sexual Assault, down to the least severe, like Possession of a Scheduled Drug. In Maine, there are different classes of felonies that range from Class A to Class C.
Class A crimes carry a sentence of up to 30 years in prison and a fine of up to $50,000. Class B crimes can result in a prison term of up to 10 years and a fine of up to $20,000 and Class C offenses carry a maximum prison sentence of 5 years and a fine of up to $5000.
